Building a list- so much reading for dyslexic kid

Anonymous
I have a dyslexic college Freshman at a top 50 school. They are at school across the country. This has not been an issue (we flew out for Thanksgiving). And most schools offer academic supports for dyslexia. From what you describe, the anxiety and learning style may be a bigger issue than the dyslexia and you’ll need to consider location. I also can’t figure out from the list which is her criteria vs hers. I say this because I also thought smaller classes would be good for my kid but they didn’t like the small size of the SLACs; most medium sized schools will have some larger lecture style classes. She also seemed interested in Oregon which is huge. You’re probably going to need to prioritize size of classes compared to the size of the school and city/rural. For example, most SLACs are not near cities. I would focus on prioritizing her criteria and then do the research myself (or hire someone), forcing her to read mounds of paper isn’t going to be productive. The Fiske Guide is then a good source for vibe of the schools and the entries are short. I read them out loud to my kid to discuss contenders. Good luck.
