Definitely not these. They are not walking shoes.

Girl I walk in these all the time.

Which ones do you have?

+1 to onitsuka tigers.

I hate mt onitsuka tigers. They have no support or cushion.

+1 I only wear the tigers for relatively short distances. Not sure how attractive they are but for vacations with lots of walking I wear allbirds. Very comfortable.

That’s actually why I like this shoe - it’s not overly padded. I can’t stand shoes that are too “cushy”. Makes it harder to walk imo.

This question gets asked a lot I keep on telling you All the same answer always:

Tracksmith Eliot

You essentially need advanced athletic shoe capability but with timeless New England aesthetic

Nb 327 has EVA midsole that doesn’t provide enough cushion/support for 10 miles

Geox sneakers are very comfortable over long distances.

Bought a pair for a trip to Florence, Italy 3 years ago. They were perfect! For those with issues, do you have perfect feet? I am “flat footed” and over pronate… which means most other shoes don’t fit me well. These do.

Allbirds by far. Wool can be hot if you are a foot sweat-er person, but if not, perfect for lots of walking

OP is looking for a shoe that you can walk 10 miles in. That's a lot of walking. As someone with knee and hip issues, I need a show that is super supportive, has plenty of cushioning, AND is easily adjustable to deal with swelling as the day wore on. Here are my recommendations:

If you like the look of Vejas, I recommend checking out Tretorns. They have a similar look but are not as stiff and some versions have good cushioning and more supportive insoles. Yes you can always buy insoles but in my experience this never works as well as shoe with better cushioning support, especially when walking long distances. Bonus is that because Tretorns are not nearly as trendy as Vejas, they haven't experienced the same super markup in recent years, and are much more affordable. Also check out Saucony for the same reasons.

Reebok Club Cs are a great all around walking shoe. Might look to "grandma" for some but I think their retro styling feels very on trend now. The remind me of Princess Diana. You might wear an insole with these, it depends how your arches are. I did not need an insole when I wore these for long days of walking in Europe, but I don't have flat feet.

Sorel makes some athletic sneakers that are super supportive. Check out Sorel Kinetic with the strap over the top. Might be too sporty for some people but I think they can look cute if styled correctly (leggings, sweatshirt, sling bag, these are not for wearing with dressier clothes).

New Balance has some comfy sneakers but be wary. Some of their more retro styles, which I think tend to be cuter, also have awful support. Check out the 327 and the 237, which I think are your best bet. I would almost definitely do an insert with these based on my prior experience with New Balance shoes.

I would stay away from Gola, Onitsuka Tiger, and Nike. Gola and OT have too little cushioning across the board. I think they are fine for every day but walking 10 miles in them sounds like torture. Nike does have some more supportive lines (I've heard the Nike Revolution is popular with nurses, which is usually a good endorsement) but in generally I think Nike's are poorly made and don't last. And most Nikes are no cuter than a pair of Hokas or Brooks, in which case just wear those.

Wow, you know the topic well, PP! I have very specific foot needs but plan to use your list as research. Thanks! (NP)

Vans are made primarily for surfers & skateboarders.

And not for anyone over thirty.

Interesting. I posted above that I find vejas very uncomfortable. I doubt my feet are perfect haha, but I do have normal to high arches which is the opposite of you so maybe that is why you like them and I do not. The main part that felt uncomfortable to me was how stiff and uncushioned they felt, even after a break in period.

Agree.
Both onitsuka tigers and asics are the same shoes. They are overpriced and not good for walking.
