Which inexpensive drugstore shampoo do you use?

+1. My Mom taught me that the trick was to never use any one shampoo for too long, and I’ve found that to be true. I usually use one “moisturizing” shampoo and one “clarifying” shampoo that I alternate, but the actual brands don’t seem to matter much.

Giovanni 2chic avocado for my fine curly hair. It’s not the absolute cheapest but fits the criteria of cheap-ish and sold in drug stores

Been using Pantene for 30 years. I have thick but fine hair that gets oily at the scalp.

Where are you finding that? I love that stuff, but I've been unable to find it in stores for over six months!

I switched to Olaplex, then Oribe. They dried my hair to straws. Just switched to some castrol oil based shampoo I found on amazon --- Sheamoisture for damaged hair. My hair starts getting a little shine back.

We usually buy Pert Plus and Head & Shoulders from Costco. Though now I am interested in checking out the TJ one people are mentioning. I did also hear it's good to occasionally switch up the shampoo you use.

I buy fairly expensive conditioner.

How long do you leave the conditioner in? I can never stand in the shower for 10 min after i put conditioner on.

Came here to say this too.

I love the conditioner but hate the shampoo. It does not get sudsy and burns my eyes terribly.

? lol someone is having trouble expressing themselves on this thread.

You need to reply to see all the previous quotes, otherwise you only see the last one and lose context. However if you read the posts by chronicle order, you should have remembered what the previous quotes are.

I agree that cheap shampoo and pricier conditioner is the way to go. I use Head and Shoulders because I feel it leaves the hair shinier.
I wash my hair in the tub with the spray attachment, put the conditioner on, go empty the dishwasher or something and then take my shower.

But Pert Plus already has conditioner in it...

The costco stuff does not smell good or clean to me.

Tresemme!

A hair stylist once told me Tresemme worked better than the fancy stuff they sold in her salon and I used to use it but now it seems to have a lot more fragrance in it than it used to.
