Both are 33 |
| I always suspected UNC had a better CS program than UVA, |
Right, similarly #24 #47 pretty much no difference |
Yeah where is UMD |
| MY DC's friend graduated from UVA CS program this year and the best offer was Capitol One in VA. |
Both are ranked 33 |
But UVA has been falling if you look at the past 10 years whereas UNC is rising. |
? in Maryland? |
In much better DVM area than UVA |
Not true. And UNC takes only 8.2 percent OOS and international so an irrelevant player in the DCUM market |
If you mean in the ranking, it's #18. |
USNWR has only been ranking undergrad CS for 4 years. |
They have been ranking for 12 years. |
Nope. Inaugural undergraduate CS ranking came out September 2020. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/us-news--world-report-announces-the-2021-best-colleges-rankings-301129653.html "Added a new ranking of computer science programs. The 2021 Best Undergraduate Computer Science Programs ranking includes more than 450 schools. In addition, the computer science specialty rankings evaluate schools across nine areas, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and software engineering." |
8.2% was just their OOS acceptance rate in 2022. It depends on how many people apply. By NC law, at least 82% of its class must come from in state. Therefore, up to 18% come from out of state/international. |
