Maybe MCPS could focus on education and keeping schools maintained instead of paying attorneys to do this?

I guess they wanted to diversify from hiring outside counsel to fight parents of children with special needs.

"The council allocated $3.165 billion for Montgomery County Public Schools. That’s an 8.4% increase from this fiscal year"

https://www.dcnewsnow.com/news/local-news/maryland/montgomery-county/montgomery-county-council-passes-budget-with-property-tax-increase/

An 8.4% increase wasn't enough to renovate and ensure kids and staff don't get cancer at school, or have mice running around?

Now I'm curious what MCPS will be spending the money on.

MCOS joins lawsuit against social media reported by FoX propaganda machine.

You are joking right

Every day many parents come on this very forum and blame social media for everything. MCPS is reacting to parent’s complaints daily about social media and at least the lawyers have actual writing skills and thoughts.

You might want to read these lawsuits. At least this one had lawyers that are competent unlike the one MCPS has to defend against Moms4Liberty and Fsmily council crap. That one has 47 pages of gobbledygook. We taxpayer’s have to pay for that crap.

Most of it will go to teacher pay raises.

It is wrong and no, you’re not always right (actually, you’ve never been right come to think about it) we know who you are. Beyond pathetic at this point.

Out of the $245M increase, $129M is going to an increase in pay.

Just may have kept the budget even after accounting for inflation.
