No. Why would they ask you to write an essay if you have any connections to UVA if they weren't going to use that information?

But not yet signed into law. Really curious how they will handle RD decisions, given the uncertainty about timing. Legacy consideration is still legal today, so presumably it was factored into Ed and ea....

But race was dropped this year and there was still an essay about it.

Apparently the bill will also ban consideration of “donor status.” While there might be public support of this from the university, I’m sure they are privately figuring out how to skirt some of this. UVA does what they want.

Well then all the EA decisions dropping today at 5pm ....they are coming out after the Bill being passed.

General info for those who don't know the basics about government: bills don't go into effect immediately.

The original posted link on page 3 makes clear it would go into effect July 1–after EA and RD.
