Driving With Dead People Memoir

The Ocean Vuong is excellent and devastating. Don't know the other book. Who is that by?

I'm almost done listening to the audio of The Golden Couple, and I sort of hate it. But I listened all the way through. After this, I may listen to Molly Shannon's memoir, or I may listen to another mystery about privileged people that I will also mildly hate.

I loved Suburban Ducks and the second book was great too!

Brand new sentence. Maybe I’ll use this at the title of my own book.

Just finished The Last Neanderthal by Claire Cameron (well, listened to it on Audible).

I found the pacing kind of off. Long stretches of time would go by and there was nothing to indicate that was the case. I also found the modern character to be very annoying.

And maybe it was just me, but there was more than a whiff of the Clan of the Cave Bear series in it.

I had a hard time finding something to read during the first two weeks of August (kept DNFing). I'm currently reading The Gifted School by Bruce Holsinger. I love domestic thrillers (Such a Fun Age and Little Fires Everywhere are my favorite books) and so far, it's been very entertaining.

Have you read Big Little Lies?

Oh, that book sounds interesting to me. I was totally into those Clan of the Cave bear books back in the day.

The Sun Does Rise by Anthony Ray Hinton - his memoir about being wrongfully convicted of three murders and the time spent on death row.

Haha - I am the one reading Suburban Dicks (still reading it, I am slow, still loving it!) and I would also absolutely read Dicks Not Ducks, as well as its sequel Ducks Not Dicks.

His ghost writer, Lara Love Hardin just released her own memoir, The Many Lives of Mama Love. It's very good.

Read it in a day, which is what sent me to The Sun Does Rise.
