I'm not a nanny. |
Bless your heart, honey. |
Nannies are NOT maids! |
Not an unreasonable request, especially if you have a cordless portable vacuum. Shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes. NBD. She should be doing this periodically anyway, along with any carseats she uses in the car. |
Nannies should be cleaning up any messes created during their time with the child. If she's constantly making a mess of the stroller, she should be cleaning it at least weekly. |
1. The parent is taking the child to a 1 hour activity during a time the child is normally with the nanny. 2. The parent doesn't get the stroller filthy, the nanny does. The nanny should be cleaning it on a regular basis (I'd think at least once per week). |
I think it is reasonable to ask and she should have done it with no problems. |
You're a doormat. |
It's your mess too OP, you clean your stroller too |
Yes |
How do you know that she isn't cleaning it every Friday at end of day? |
a lot of people like OP want nannie’s to be 3 in 1 — cooking, cleaning and taking care of kids. They like to sneak cooking and cleaning in for the nannie’s to do smh. |
Nanny should be handling stuff related to the child - clean up toys, feeding/meal prep, pottying, child laundry/folding/put away, any kitchen clean up/dishes related to child feeding. Our nanny also empties the diaper can a few times per week and hauls the bag to the alley trash can. Basically, if a mess is made that is related to our child, the nanny should handle it. If our nanny made a mess of the stroller, I am certain she would proactively vacuum it without us having to ask.
$35/hour nanny with 45 hours/week. |
