Is it gross to file finger nails at the office?

It was sooooo satisfying to get home and file it as soon as I got home. Even with how annoying broken nails are at work I wouldn't ever do that at work, it's just gross.

I carry a multi tool. I always have a file.

This is fine but doing all 10 fingers with the door open is not appropriate.

Nobody is giving themselves a full manicure in the middle of a workday with the door open so their coworkers can watch. We're talking about fixing a broken nail and I, too, am not going to wait until I get home at night.

That said, when I moved into my new, big office, there were fingernail clippings all over the floor. The guy before me had clipped his nails and hadn't bothered to pick up the clippings. That was gross.

And you just contradicted yourself. Apparently there ARE clipping their nails and giving themselves manicures in their offices.

One broken nail on a single finger is not a manicure. Are you a troll?

Why can't you just walk your ass to the bathroom and do it there? Were you raised in a jungle?

A jungle is walking around with straggy and broken nails all day when it will take 10 seconds to file.

I do whatever I want in my office. I do close the door though. It’s my personal space. I love it there.

Everyone knows you walk around and crop dust for a fart. Preferably past the creep in procurement.

Are you saying you take this tool with you everywhere you go? I’m fascinated by people with huge purses full of tools for every occasion.

According to the posters on here you can’t crop dust, you have to go to the bathroom

If you have a snagged or torn mail no there’s nothing rude about it. If you are filing and sanding to give yourself an in office manicure or set of acrylic nails then yes.

This is silly. Like you think this person has some hedge trimmers, a weed wacker and push lawn mower in their bag?
