Oh, and HUGE drop off between tier A and tier B. |
Potomac Holton are not the a list |
neither is GDS |
Yes GDS parents are such tryhards. |
Because we were still in the learning phase, and it was not that difficult to apply to one more school. The application gets you in the door to open houses etc. We were also curious--is our child competitive on that level? Apparently, yes. We are looking at DMV schools that are not on the original list OP posted because we don't seek the "we create diamonds through pressure" approach, though it works for some children (not a judgment). |
+1. No one knows and no one cares. And most people in DC don’t care either. |
Those first three schools are inside the beltway. |
Get over yourself. |
| What a stupid thread. |
This isn't a bad list and it's mostly ranked on academics. I think St. Anselm's is just as good academically but doesn't make the cut for A because it's so small and the non-academic offerings aren't as well rounded. |
I don't disagree but Bullis is not an academically "better" school than Maret by any stretch. Check all the SAT score averages and NMSF data. College matriculation lists are skewed by athletic acceptances, remember. Even still, Maret is a really strong school. |
Is this the weird racist Basis dad again? I'd rather send my child to Jackson-Reed over Basis any day.- private school parent/public school teacher |
Prestige Worldwide? |
Yes, no one (outside of the DMV). No one! |
And the Clinton girl. |
