Why do I see people buying multiple flats of bottled water?

+1. I think everyone I know either has an undersink filter attached to their tap, buys bottled water, or does the Brita.

I am white but not American. Bottled water tastes better and is convenient to have in the car and around the house to just grab and drink

OP here. I guess my observation is that it's almost exclusively hispanic people, but not exclusively one gender, age group, etc. But maybe that's just my weird sample set.

They may own a restaurant or food truck and they resell the water to customers.

My church is about 50% Hispanic and does this every week to give away to parishioners, people who use our food pantry, day laborers, homeless people, etc.

I can't imagine being this thoughtless and wasteful multiple times a day. So much plastic. It's literally mind boggling.

And they usually look for the cheapest option for everything - store brand everything, unlicensed contractor, budget airlines - yet the buy cases upon cases of Poland Spring and make snide remarks when I use their tap to refill my reusable water bottle. I don't understand it.

Water is much cheaper than expensive tickets or an expensive contractor

You know that it’s only the golden billion that cares for the environment right?
Go to any underdeveloped country and you will find copious amounts of trash everywhere
Companies should stop using plastic for packaging - then maybe it will get better

6-7 billion people not in the US or Western Europe use them without hesitation
Your not using them doesn’t change much

So you’re just going to wait until companies do stuff. When did this country become so pathetic? You live on earth? Maybe give a s$it
