I've witnessed popular centers with "good teachers". It's meh. They are all the same, Jewish, Hispanic, just center, etc. Go closer. Join your community and all preschools have good teachers, great early educators where they will love and be patience with children and give them creative activities, fun, outdoor play and will learn good manners and to respect each other |
How is this relevant to OP's question? |
5 minutes away. You're talking about wasting almost 2 hours a day driving back and forth in the car. |
OP, what elusive quality are you pursuing? I would try and make peace with the "good enough" option. |

+1 Unless this is a magical germ-free preschool, the only thing you will remember about this time period is how often your kid got sick. They are all petri dishes. |
It’s not just the extra time for you. It’s 40 extra minutes every school day that your kid is strapped in his seat rather than playing, reading with you, whatever else he would be doing during that commute time. Maybe the other preschool is enough better that it is worth it! But it’s another factor to consider. |
If you get a spot at NCRC and you want to go the private school route you need to take it. Otherwise not sure |
