Pamela Anderson on Netflix

I really enjoyed the documentary and am embarrassed about how poorly we thought of women in the 90s (Britney, Linsey Lohan) and the relentless scrutiny of their bodies and sex lives. Hearing Matt Lauer ask Pam about her breast implants was agonizing to watch.

I thought she was genuine, charming, and very sweet with her kids. She was a hopeless romantic. Also her diaries were amazing and poignant.

Agreed. I love how, ultimately, Matt Lauer was taken down. I always thought he was horrible to women on air. Pig

2) People have made tons of money off her. She's entitled to tell her own story and earn from it. What happened to her with the private tape was abusive.

3) She's funny and self deprecating.

4) Gay men love her.

5) She was brave to star as Roxy Hart in Chicago. I love that for her.

6) Of course Tim Allen showed her his dong.

Well stated. I'm glad that she did this documentary and hope she finds some peace.

She surprised me with her smarts and strength. I expected a total bimbo.

I only just watched this last night on Netflix.

Why don't people want to know the truth, that many of these women who act out and use their bodies were sexually abused as children?

I finally have the chance to see this film and it was so good. Agree with PP.

I think, whether it was intentional on her part or not in the past, she never controlled her own narrative and now she is. Had the tape not happened, I think her career would have continued to soar. Unfortunately, it sort of soured her reputation as this sexed up pinup, which she really isn't.

I mean, her bread and butter was always her looks. The idea that she wasn't part of that is a head-scratcher. She still talks with the breathless baby voice. It's not like she tried to rebrand as a serious actress.

Being sexually abused as a child can teach girls to act like that.

You people are extremely judgmental about people who are survivors.

And please stop using misogynistic terms like whore.
