| MHIC will cover up to 30k but only up to a total of $100k per contractor. If the total goes above, everyone's claim gets prorated down. |

In this case, there are a lot of high dollar claims and thus everyone is going to get less. There is a discussion on raising the $100K. This should have been done when the individual claim limit was raised from $20K to $30K last July. Question is if they raise the total limit will impact all the claims against Omar Elrahimy and Optimum Construction. But from what I can see, it will take MHIC a long time to process things. |

For anyone affected by the crookery that is Omar Elrahimy, aka Amir Elrahimy (apparently he changed his name recently, probably to try and avoid being able to be linked and tied to his criminal activities), Bobbie Smith (his cohort in crime) , and Optimum Construction, it is recommended that they go to:
https://www.marylandattorneygeneral.gov/Pages/CPD/complaint.aspx and file a victim complaint so that we can bring this Ponzi/Pyramid schemer to justice. He and Bobbie should rot in jail. She also had to know exactly what was going on as she oversaw the finances! |

Real name: Amr Elrahimy
AKA, goes by Omar Elrahimy Sometimes listed as Amir Elrahimy Optimum Construction incorporated Feb 2017. Originally listed Omar Elrahimy as the sole director in the articles of incorporation. Updated two months later to correct his name to Amr Elrahimy. Filed corporate resolution on Jan 16 2023 to change the company address back to the now closed Optimum Interiors showroom location. Also changed the resident agent from Kevin J Conner, attorney that assisted in creation of all of Omar's companies to himself, Amr Elrahimy. |

No offense but bobbie was not good people. Steve was not good people. Laura was not good people. They kept ghosting us at every turn
They kept promising but never delivering. Not all of them were bad but there were some that were complicit. Steve is now a partner in GRIP with Omar. Bobbie was included in the lawsuit with Optimum. At any point they could have warned us but they didn't. I hope they all fail in life or at least apologize for leaving us all to hang. |

Don't think you are going to get anyone here that lost money and ended up with an unfinished project to agree with you. There could be employees hired in the last 6 months that may get a pass. However, the actions of Omar Elrahimy date back to 2019 if not earlier. Bobbie and Jason, if not directly involved, they were aware and did nothing and continued to support. Don't know what Steve did other than being an unlicensed sales person and part of Omar's next get rich quick scheme Grip Inc. Bobbie, in her Linkedin profile states that in her role at Optimum drafted memos, prepared financial statements, prepared, sent, and followed up on customer invoices, and reconciled bank statements -- https://www.linkedin.com/in/bobbie-smith/ I also know that she signed some of the Optimum Contracts. If this is an accurate list of her responsibilities then she had to minimally be aware and hard to believe she did not support. Knowingly supporting fraudulent activities can be reviewed as conspiracy. Thus if Omar is charged, she can be too. Bobbie, don't trust anything we say here, do not trust what Omar has told you, get your own lawyer, have them read the current and past lawsuits, have them read this thread and let them guide you on a path that protects yourself. If you were a victim as this person states then join the rest of us and expose what you know. |

| Attorney I spoke with says that they have not filed yet, but he contacted Omar's attorney and he claims that "filing is imminent." |

| According to the Gaithersburg Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) Optimum Interiors Inc is a subdivision of Optimum Group Inc (a sponsor of GGCC). I have never heard of one company being a "subdivision" of another company? | I spoke with the attorney filing the chapter 7 for Optimum, filing will be in next few days. Said there is little chance of us recouping our money through the Chapter 7. Suggested filing with MHIC and through company insurance(but even this is a long shot). He said there is a lot of debt and creditors owed. |
