Absolutely! |
Elephant fit pants are HUGE right now in Paris. |
That was OP point. She is not fighting aging but also embracing high fashion. |
....literally |
She hasn't and she has been very vocal about it. She is inspiring. https://pagesix.com/2022/10/25/paulina-porizkova-on-aging-wrinkles-dont-make-me-ugly/ |
Check out what people are wearing - HUGE PANTS are in: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CkvJ7-PA-fU/?igshid=NTdlMDg3MTY%3D |
| I like the idea of wearing what you like as you age, and having fun with it -- but I don't think the purple dress posted above is flattering. It's not a great color for her, the fit is weird across the chest and makes her look more flat chested, and it does have more of a juvenile vibe than a fun-confident vibe. I do think there's some looks that just look odd on an older woman -- things like peter pan collars that look ironically old lady on a 20-something just look old lady on a woman in her 50s. And the shapeless bag stuff that looks "I don't care" as a 20-something looks a different kid of "I don't care" as a 50-something. The granny-chic that some of the 20-somethings wear just doesn't read the same if you actually are granny-aged (although some of it can work, but I think it's harder). |
50s is NOT "old lady" yet! |
|
I love the elephant leg pant on these older gals (I'm 56 myself) but I'd look big all over if I wore that because I'm so big on top.
Grece's style is fabulous - she's colorful and comfy. I aspire to dress like her. |
| I love Grace Ghanem’s gray hair. It’s so striking! And I love her fearless style as well. |

To answer the original question, 55 is not the new 30. And 30 is not the new 25.
Just age gracefully and don’t fight it |
And lots of fillers/lifts/botox/etc. She looks good in pictures but when you see her on TV or in candid shots it's clear that she has surgery-face |
+1 |
Cindy or Paulina? |
I know what 56 looks like, I'm 53. She looks old to me. |
