Can I send my two month old to day care in a onesie?

OP - do let us know how your child's first day went today! (And how it went for you too.) Hope all was fine. If you're brave, you can even tell us what DC wore.

I think it is OK. I always thought of onesies as baby clothes. It's not like an older toddler can wear onesies, and even rompers are not as easily found at an older age. I think onesies are so cute and wish I could still dress my 2 year old in onesies during the summer. One piece outfits can only be worn during a short age span when they are young and then again for females at a lot older age (they're back in style now).

I wish I could still get away with wearing a onesie. It's very Lady GaGa.

OP here -- I sent DD in a onesie and a pair of pink shorts and socks. The socks were lost by the time I had finished talking with the day care director about DD's schedule. The shorts were off by the time I picked her up. I'll still keep sending her in pants/skirts/shorts and a onesie though because it could get cold. That and this discussion made me go buy a lot of pants/shorts/skirts this weekend, and she better waer them before she outgrows everything!
Thanks everyone for the advice!

Who gives a flying fuck what the baby wears, as long as it is safe and comfortable???? You weirdos need to get a grip!!

My son is 9 months, and although he wears pants to daycare b/c of the temp there, I always put him in onesies on the weekend. It gives us access to squeeze his chubby little baby thighs! As my husband says, it is every man's dream not to have to wear pants, and DS should enjoy it as long as he can.

"It is OK, as long as you think it is OK for your husband to go to the store in his wife beater and boxers.

Rompers and sunsuits are great for this time of year. "
