| I refuse to wash dishes at the end of a 12-hour drive. And a huge no to anything requiring utensils. Keep it simple. Snacks, finger foods, sandwiches in (gasp) ziploc baggies. |
| It all depends on the perspective you have on road trips. Are you like the Indian folks who see a road trip largely as an excuse to take frequent breaks and eat picnic food? Or do you want to just power through to get to your destination, so you’re looking to eat things with one hand while your eyes are on the road? |
Um, because you are sitting in a car. Even if you stop and eat at a picnic table somewhere, you are right back to sitting in a car. Who wants to eat a huge meal while they sit in the car for hours? And then carry around a bunch of smelly dishes. |
You would be depressed if you had to eat a sandwich? How precious you are. |
OP here. The latter. Just powering through. Given the length of the drive, breaks will be quick. We're all fine eating as we drive. That spread of food in a prior post looks amazing, but definitely not our road trip style! We eat healthy overall, but there aren't rules with road trips. We're more in the PB&J sandwiches/snacky food camp but I'm loving the other ideas. |
DP. I hate sandwiches. Sour Patch Kids, absolute road trip food! |
