The name you’re thinking of is Corinne, and it’s pronounced more like “Cur-INN.” Corrine is pronounced “Cor-EEN,” and the 2nd syllable is the same as the 2nd syllable in Maureen. |
Can we get an answer to this? "The normal way". does NOT answer the question. 3 pages and no one can answer this? That is a problem.
|
The second option is “the normal way,” but I’m not OP. |
Lee-uh. Thank you! Leah Astrid sounds nice to me. |
Are you insane? Leah Astrid is like the cross breed of a Dalmatian and a corgi. Pick a lane. |
Her maiden name. Even if it's not Jewish. It's better than smashing a Hebrew name with some wierd danish sh$$ that's en vogue with the millennials. I can't even with the hipster name nonesense. They can't even hear how stupid they all are. |
Some maiden names should die out. I'm looking at you, Weiner and Weinerman. Also, Leah Baumgarten Berkowitz would be a pretty clunkly name. Leah Aronovich Blumenkrantz. Leah Feuchtwanger Gershkovich. Maiden names are NOT all wonderful. |
| Leah Mia |
| Leah shprintza is my daughter's name |
Funny....that’s exactly how I “solved the puzzle“ as well. If not the maiden name of the OP, then perhaps the maiden name of the baby’s grandmother.
|
No one needs to answer the question because it’s like asking how to pronounce Jennifer. |
|
I know several Latinas named Leah/Lea.
I know it’s traditionally thought of as a Jewish name, but the reality is most Americans simply aren’t very religious anymore and younger generations won’t label the name the way others do. Plus, most Jews marry non-Jews these days (it’s a numbers game). Signed, Catholic married to a Jew |
+1 I'm non-Jewish (though I have some Jewish heritage way back) and both my Irish Catholic husband and our daughter have Hebrew-origin names. They can pass for mainstream names but they are Old Testament Hebrew names. Think Daniel and Rachel, not Shoshana. |

I guess it depends what your definition of insanity is. If someone liking a name combination that YOU don't like is your definition of insanity...then put me in the looney bin.
