Colleges for 3.4 GPA - No Advanced Classes

With no honors, NO to Delaware, JMU, Penn state, Pitt and temple. My kid with no honors got into none of those (didn’t apply pitt) Did get into Penn state 2+2, not worth it OOS. Did get into Miami OH and Towson and Salisbury.

This is definitely true. My kid not URM.

Not sure where everyone is getting off suggesting VCU to a student with no test scores and a 3.3 / 3.4 in no honor classes. If we really are talking about all basic classes -- no APs, no intensfied or honors classes, nothing -- then VCU is definitely not a safety. Also, does the 3.3 /3.4 include As in gym and courses like that? What's the GPA in the actual core classes? How far did the student go in math, science, foreign language, etc.?

I'd look lower than VCU for safeties. ODU, Longwood, Radford, etc.
