Gonzaga was bad last year and it’s getting worst on Eye street.
It’s SJC in the WCAC and everyone is playing second fiddle |
Mater Dei pipeline will shift back to Gonzaga. New man running MD and he is a Gonzaga guy.
Gonzaga lacrosse will be just fine. |
what direction mater dei pipeline swings doesn't predict future success. The sport is simply very big now.
Case and point, Bullis, Landon and now SJC have been very good for the past decade and I can't imagine any of their rosters have any mater dei kids (maybe SJC might have a few). |
Mater Dei is a tiny school. The number of lacrosse players there is a drop in the bucket to the amount of talent that is in the DMV. Keep talking up Mater Dei, it ain’t going turn any program. |
Mater Dei is the reason why Prep and Gonzaga has been at the top for the last 15-20 years.
Clearly, you don’t know the history and current landscape of lacrosse in the DMV. Ex. Look at Preps junior class. |
Disagree.
Look at Bullis in 2019, they didn’t have a single MD kid. |
Connor Davis, their third attackman in 2019 was a Mater Dei kid. |
Not too familiar with the student body at Mater Dai but how many of them actually play in a top travel lacrosse program? And how many are 8th graders? |
The eighth graders at Mater Dei are the ones parked in the student lot. |
Several play for the DCE A team. |
Not several, many. |
15 year old 8th graders historically have an advantage over 13 year old 8th graders |
SJC has a strong 2022 class and that's it. This will be a good spring for them, but then it's back down to reality. There will be no 3-5 of dominance. |
24 and 25 class at SJC are very good. They will be dominant even after the 22 class graduates. Get used to it. |
And SJC is recruiting heavily for 2026. |
