Upgrading cooktop/rangetop...(going high end)

There are a lot of asian people in the dc area .. its pretty common when doing house tours that the over the top powerful gas stove comes with the explanation.. the grandmother/mom/grandpa was asian, so they put in this incredibly powerful gas cooktop in a Reston/evanston/columbia/chino ranch home. so yeah.. you are being racist by assuming .. its a bias not malicious racism so why dont you just learn and stop doubling down. Be thankful you made this ignorant assumption on an anonymous internet board instead of at the office where the one asian person heard you and smiled to themselves and laughed at how ignorant you are to their spouse and then makes an assumptions about you are 'that' kind of person in all of their interactions with you in future plus trots out the anecdote to all like minded acquaintance who will all feel superior to you and laugh at you behind your back.

I have a wolf cooktop. I did knobs on the side because I have young kids

We have a 36" Bluestar. I like it. The oven takes a while to heat up, so that's not ideal. But I really love the more powerful burners... I'm not sure why people wouldn't be able to tell a difference with them. They come up to heat very quickly, and boiling water takes much less time.

I do have some concerns about the pollutants from gas. We have a great makeup air system, though, and try to run the hood before/during/after cooking. We are also running one of our air purifiers in the kitchen.
