VDA 06 smoked NC Courage, CESA, and SCUFC while enjoying a fine practice against Wilmington under beautiful weather (7-0)... any more questions? Thanx
I heard VDA-Courage was an evenly played game, but that Courage keeper was subpar, letting in two goals that most keepers would have no problem stopping. Courage beat VDA in the other age groups.

2-0, yet blame the keeper. Doesn't seem like this evenly matched game could produce a goal by Courage? lol... I love the "it was even match" feel-good statement after a loss. Helps folks sleep at night.
My daughter is a younger age group, but I watched this game. VDA had one nice shot that went over the keepers head. Keeper whiffed at the ball. I agree with the OP that the 2nd goal was fluky. A ball was just kicked high and right at the keeper, but keeper must have been blinded by the sun or something and dropped it allowing VDA to score an easy tap in. VDA looked like the quicker team. Ball possession was even, maybe even a slight edge to Courage. Both teams got the ball up and down the field. VDA got both goals in the last 10 minutes of first half, so may have gone more defensive at that point. VDA probably had about 5 quality shots on goal, while Courage only had maybe 2. Just my perspective as a bystander.
