My 5 month old little guy was sick with a tummy virus as well. Our Ped. told us "it's going around" and said there was nothing she could do about it. Make certain baby is getting enough fluids and if you're giving solids stay away from oatmeal. A baby version of the BRAT diet, maybe just the rice and applesauce. Have you checked for fever? Hope the little one is feeling better at this point!

nutrition, rest and love is about all you can do. It will run its course and build baby's immunity. I use guava juice for diaper rash, seems to neutralize it somehow. (To drink, not to apply).

When my child had diarrhea at that age, the pedi told me to continue her regular formula if she'd accept it. Add Pedialyte in small quantities if necessary to maintain hydration. Don't let a baby go more than about 5 hours (I think) without a wet diaper. Dehydration occurs very rapidly in infants and can be serious.

Boudreaux's Butt Paste at every diaper change helps prevent/clear rash as well.

Hope she feels better soon.
