Need daycare recommendations for H street/Union Station area

Anonymous
Hi, I know this thread has had some past posts -- but I am not a federal employee and have been told that waitlists for Thurgood Marshall and FERC are 1.5-2 years long. My husband and I recently bought a house near Union Station and will need care for our son in Feb 2017 (He will be 10 months old then). I am wondering if anyone has good private or in-home daycare recommendations or needs someone to join a nannyshare. We currently do nannyshare but we live in Bethesda. Thank you!

Get on the Moms on the Hill list serve. There are lots of nanny share postings and the parents are a great resource. Not too many in home daycares that I've seen, but if you go up into Brookland/NE you'll have more options.

Call the Bright Horizons at the SEC and get on the wait list. Infant room is pretty tough but openings do come up - even to non-employees sometimes
