I'm going crazy trying to find someone to go on a cruise with me next week, and I guess it's time to give up but I can't let it go!!! NCL wants 200% of the fare for a single and I guess that's pretty standard on cruises. I tried calling to see if now that it's less than 10 days out, they'd waive the fee but no... they won't.
Just had to vent... it's such a rare opportunity that my kids are going with their dad for a week to see his parents, and I'm technically "off the leash" but can't escape with a friend or sister, so I'm going to be stuck at home cleaning out closets or some other boring thing. Waaaaa!!!! |
try calling a travel agent or a consolidator. They may have more room to work with. Also, have you tried checking out some of the cruise forum websites to see what's the story on grabbing last minute deals -- www.cruisecritic.com is one that I know off the top of my head but there are several others. |
OP here. There are lots of sites with great last minute deals, but they are all for dbl occupancy. ![]() Sigh. I guess I'm going to have to figure out where I can drive from here and stay a few nights somewhere on a beach, but it's not the same "all-inclusive" environment outside of a cruise or an AI resort. I'd like to get lost in the vacation... and driving to a beach isn't quite the same as cruising across the Atlantic to one. ![]() |
try googling "cruises without single supplement" - there seem to be numerous links that pop up re offers for low/no single supplement. |
