9/1 makes the most sense!

What they are saying is that there is no date that makes sense over any other date. In other words they would delete about 250 pages of this thread where people are making arguments for specific dates. They are saying it does not matter.

But someone has to decide on a hard cut off unless we are doing 15 month leagues like lacrosse

Lol - ECNL isn't doing anything next year. They, like the rest of soccer, needs time to figure out what works best and to look at all the data and make an informed decision. Like most leagues, they were probably hoping US Soccer would show some balls, but they passed the buck.

So ... state-by-state SY cutoffs until U13, then GY for national leagues?

Agree and they are saying they will decide. But that the date they pick is no better for development than any other date.

That is not what they said. What they said was that nothing has been decided.

Why would they? The next podcast will talk about this but nothing is decided. There is a solid amount of work -- much closer to nine moths than six. No decisions or real guidance anytime soon. The best you will get is what was here which was --- I guess 9/1 but not sure.

So we learned nothing. Jurgen Klinnsman sucks for inflicting birth year on us

I would not say nothing. We learned:

No change for 25/26

Likely cut off of 9/1

There is a large group for no change

Their view no cut off date better than any other cut off date.
