Here are her remarks.

I don't understand her reasoning for resigning. She doesn't want to be a lame duck governor so since she's decided not to run for re-election (so she can run for national office presumably) she's just going to resign now instead of serving the rest of her term? She already has an experience problem; this can't help that.

Less of an experience problem than you-know-who. Didn't seem to need 'notes' to talk either. She is getting better with that over time (unlike you know who)

How about compared with Romney, Pawlenty, Gingrich? Even Jindal will have more experience than her now. She has to get through the Republican primary first.

But if you want to go that direction: 2.5 years as governor of a state < 4 years president of US

Not saying she has more experience than the above worthies; but definitely more than you know who when elected.

Oh, she did NOT have more experience, and most of the country was able to see that with no problem. I do not know one single intelligent person on either side of the aisle who takes her seriously. She's ridiculous. A joke.

I can't wait for the real story to come out. Either she is being blackmailed and was forced to step down, or she just quit. The latter is just as bad -- pretty irresponsible to just give up your elected position for no good reason, yes?

My guess is a talk show is her next step.

I wondered that too. She's totally in politics for the fame, so that would make sense.

My guess is that Alaska's finances are getting precarious and she sees what is happening to Arnold in California. She doesn't want a budget deficit hanging around her neck and budget cuts always piss off someone. There's not a whole lot to be gained being in charge during a bad economy.

I think it was probably all the spotlight on her family...

That's a pretty good guess. It takes some time for the shit to hit the fan, so she can clear out before the stink rises.

Is she going to sign a big contract with The View? The nice clothes during the campaign got her thinking, "get out there and make some real money", forget politics.

There must be something wrong.
