Day 1 for starting a cycle - AF at night?

I've always heard if it starts after 8 PM on Monday, count Tuesday as Day 1.

My nurse told me if it came after noon to count the next day as Day 1.

Ok OP here: some red flow started at 740 pm. So is today day 1 or day 2?

Since today isn't a full day of bleed, tomorrow would be day 1.

Mine defined day 1 as full flow by 4pm
