I have a few days available in my home daycare in Adams Morgan. I am open from 9:00am-3:00pm and am availble for as few as one day a week or drop off care. I am a stay home mom of 3 children ages 6yrs, 4yrs and 17 months. I stopped working 4 years ago and have decided it was time for a new career. Previously, I was in the restaurant business. I was a restaurant owner and pastry chef. Last winter I started babysitting out of my home while my 2 older children were at school. I really enjoyed it and decided to pursue opening a licensed home child care center. I have been opened since October and gradually adding clents. I can have up to 5 children at a time and have an assistant who works with me. She has worked for me as a babysitter over a year and is wonderful with my children and is also bilingual(Spanish and English). When I was deciding to open my daycare I really wanted to market to families that only need part time care. There aren't many options available for part time and thought it would be useful for parents who wanted only occasional babysitting, but also have a safe reliable place to go.

I currently care for two 2yr old boys, a 6 month old and 22 month old. The 2 yr olds come 5 days a week and the two younger children come 2-3 times a week.

The day will be fairly structured. A typical schedule for the 2 year old is:
9:00-9:30 is free play and drop off time.
9:30-10:00 breakfast
10:00-transition time for outdoor activities
12:00 return back home transition for lunch.
12:30 lunch
12:45 stories- freeplay
1:00-3:00 nap
Every day we will go to the playground or zoo, have story time, free play, art, naps and meals. I will most likely have 2 children under the age of 2 and 3 children between 2-5 years old.
