Any problems getting through security with pureed baby food?
We make all of our baby food and were planning to bring some in a container for the long plane ride (east coast to west coast trip). I was worried it would be considered a "liquid" Also, what about yogurt? |

To clarify question above...
Found this on TSA website but wanted to know if anyone knew what is considered to be a "reasonable" quantity. "Declare larger liquids. Medications, baby formula and food, and breast milk are allowed in reasonable quantities exceeding three ounces and are not required to be in the zip-top bag. Declare these items for inspection at the checkpoint." |

I took 2-3 of the larger stage 3 bottles through last year with no problem. Just pointed to the bag they were in and said "baby food". I did take the precaution of putting them in a separate grocery bag and took it out of my carry-on for the security screen.
I would think that reasonable would be enough to get you through the air traveling time with a little extra in case of delays. |
| I took two 8 ounce bottles of milk and one sippy cup of water for my 13 month old. They made me open the bottles and tested the liquids. They didn't comment on the quantity. I also had 5 jars of baby food and those weren't even looked at. I imagine they might want to test the baby food since it won't be sealed. Don't see it causing a problem though... |
