Are teens wearing Lularoe leggings or just moms on my FB feed (promise I'm not MLM)

I posted earlier about looking for on-trend gifts for my step daughters. There are all these ladies hawking Lularoe (not to be confused w lulu lemon, which is what I thought) leggings on my Facebook feed. So I googled it and some blogs talk about moms and their teens all wearing them- kind of like a mom- thing that became a fun teen thing as well. Anyway, I live overseas (probably why I get lot of people selling me stuff in my FB feed) so it's hard enough to know what's going on stateside, anyway, just wondering if any teens are wearing these. Btw if you have not heard of them, they appear to be comfortable leggings in wild patterns.

Not my teens. They did wild leggings a few years ago.

My tween loves them. She is very into the crazy patterns and finds them comfortable. Not sure about real teens though.

I teach 8th grade. I haven't seen a single girl this year in leggings besides plain black.

I was at a festival this weekend, and saw a TON of LLR leggings... on middle-aged women.

I saw a particularly atrocious pair on a mom at preschool dropoff. Looked like PJs. Our teen babysitters never wear them. Just black.

Mom of teens chiming in to agree- black leggings are it, with occaisional dark grey.No wild colors or patterns.

I. They are all about leggings- but it's more like athletic wear from Avivva or Athleta.

I just learned about Lularoe this weekend. And for the longest time when they were talking about them, I thought they were talking about Lululemon.

From what I understand, it's really a mom thing. I haven't heard any teens talking about them and my daughter had no idea what they were. She has 14 pairs of black leggings with a few dark grey and navy mixed in. Patterned leggings are only for sleeping, apparently.

I'm not in the immediate DC area and they are very popular with teens.

I teach at a DC area high school, and I don't see any of the kids in Lularoe leggings.

I see -
-fancy sports bras under tank tops that are brightly colored and have tons of straps (apparently seeing your sports bra under your clothes is highly fashionable right now)
-Lululuemon yoga pants and tops
-stainless steel water bottles that often have fun patterns
-Hunter rain boots
-Uggs
-name or monogram necklaces

if that helps at all.

OP here - thanks! Really helpful! I'm going to buy a few. Thinking that if y'all are not consistently seeing them, I'm "ahead of the trend" for the teen set...or woefully behind it. Guess I'll find out at Christmas! I really appreciate the feedback!

This is a trend for moms in NC etc. moms who sell R&F and Stella and dot. You are not ahead of a teen trend

I thought lularoe was a line of clothes sold through brand reps, typically SAHMs (or ones who want to do more than just SAH). So no suprise you'd see people hawking on FB and touting how they're fashionable.

Most such clothes and products seems to be sold from moms to moms, not a broader audience.

Not popular here, but I have seen a few more patterned leggings on teens when visiting NC.

Trends are different in different areas, my teen niece in Texas would ask for things like abercrombie and vera bradley which were not popular here but all the rage there.
