Bethany Beach tomorrow

We are toying with the idea of driving to Bethany Beach tomorrow despite it probably being the most crowded day of the year. If we left NW DC at 7:30am would we have a prayer of missing the worst of the traffic? Once you get to Bethany, are there places to park near the beach or is that impossible? I realize that this is not the most rational plan...

The bridge is going to be bad by 10am. Can you make it before that?

No, no parking near the beach on 4th of July weekend unless you go super-early (before 9am).

There are shuttles from various resorts/neighborhoods, though. Our house is 2 miles from the beach and we always bike. So if biking is an option, I’d recommend that.
