If you go to Solidcore

Anonymous
Do you like the new machines at Solidcore? I am very ambivalent. I used to leave feeling like I had conquered something, was drenched in sweat and thoroughly worn out mentally and physically. And that is what I loved, as I am so freaking bored usually when I workout. This new machine is not doing all of that for me. Am I the only one??

(before you say it, I am very aware this is a first world problem )

I do not like the new machines. The handle bars are too rickety and I miss the knee holes or pockets.

OP here - agree the handlebars are awful, they are really thin. I have been somewhat ok without the pockets but not great.

Are you still going or did you find something new? and if so, what is it?

I still go, but less often. I was going like 4 times a week, now I am down to 2 times a week. I've heard good things about pilates pro works, which is similar, but I haven't tried it.

I've been to Pilates Pro Works and it varies. Sometimes it is a it like SolidCore, and other times it is more like regular pilates. Today, however, I went after their "master trainer" had been in to train everyone, and holy crap it was hard! A lot of moves similar to SolidCore. Wish the vibe was a little less tame there, though.

I like the new machines (less smelly) but I agree I don't like the rickety handlebar. They are also more slippery so yoga socks help. I am indifferent about the knee holes
