| My daughter might have an affinity for barrel racing. She does ok in dressage, but it looks like barrel racing might be more her forte. Where would she go for lessons/competition for this around Fairfax County? I couldn't really find anything using google search or COTH....??? |

| Look into eventing. There are a couple cowboys who do barrel racing in Maryland, but it's nothing like what they do farther west. |

| Barrel racing is really dangerous once riders get into competition. Stick with dressage. |

| Second most dangerous equestrian sport, right after steeplechase (jumping over solid fences). Horses quite often end up on top of riders trying to round an oil drum at 35-40 mph. |
