Can someone explain to me why Clinton's emails were on Weiner's computer?

| This is not a question about Trump v Clinton or Weiner's weird habits. I genuinely am confused why he had her emails on his computer. |

Not very much information has been released, but from what we know it may not be correct to call them "Clinton's emails". As I'm sure you know, Weiner's wife Huma works for Clinton. Some of her emails which are related to Clinton were found on the laptop.

Reports have it that Huma “backed up “ her blackberry to this computer in order to back up her contacts.
Seems all the emails transferred in the process. |

Here's a short list of potentially how:
- She used his laptop when her phone was dead/missing/etc and never deleted the profile - He got her password and was using it to read her e-mail without her knowing about it - He was backing up her iPhone to iTunes and the emails are contained in the backup file |

We do not know that Clinton's emails were on Weiner's computer. At all. Period.
But, there were probably emails from Huma to Hillary. They may (probably) have been ones they've already turned over. |

I think you are right! I don't know what the contents were of those deleted emails but I am sure they went beyond yoga and Chelsea's wedding. If there is anything that is problematical it will be more fodder for the investigation that is taking place. |

| You people are in denial. 650,000. It's not just Huma's inbox. Also, FBI hadn't read any of them prior to getting the warrant, but they had the metadata, which would be enough for them to figure out the relationship between what was there v. what they had already seen. |

Could Weiner have taken them from Huma without her knowing it as blackmail to protect himself from his sex scandals? |

It's not believed that all 650,000 of them relate to Clinton in any way, most likely only a portion of the emails are potentially relevant. And even if they relate to her generally, that doesn't necessarily mean that they were sent too or from the private server, that any that did go to/from the private server contained classified information, or that they aren't emails the FBI has already reviewed. |

So, according to you, pp, her evil-genius plan was to transfer thousands of emails, which she specifically wanted to hide/destroy - onto Anthony Weiner's computer and then leave it in his possession? That doesn't make any sense. Take off your tin foil hat already. |

This is correct, they may not be emails from or to Clinton at all. I think when they say pertinent, they mean they consist some information related to the investigation. Emails by itslef could be from third parties. |

I doubt it was on purpose. 650K sounds like a lot, but if it was 7 years that works out to 250 emails per day. That could be one or two busy people - maybe Huma's and Hillary's if she had her login. |

According to the released FBI reports, Hill didn't know she had a server in her basement. I just love this drama! And while I didn't vote for either, I did pay special attention to Hillary b/c she had more potential. So I ignored Trump, thinking the rest of the US would. but guess what? Hillary, oh Hillary! What another moron! |
