Wondering if you were successful with natural cycle IVF, and if so what is your age, and what had you done previously?
Considering this and there isn't enough statistics since it is relatively new to the area. Thanks~! |

I just had my transfer this morning doing NCIVF. Super easy, nothing to it. I am currently in my 2ww. As soon as I find out my results I will let you know whether it was successful or not. (Saying lots of prayers that it is!)
This is our second round of NCIVF...the first round was unsuccessful, we used my husbands sperm and after finding out he has many abnormalities that would prevent us from delivering a healthy baby, we decided to do the second round using donor sperm. I am 32, healthy with only male factor as our "issue." |
| any update? Beta today or tomorrow? |
Beta is tomorrow...I'm not very optimistic that it worked this time...feel absolutely ZERO symptoms (just symptoms from the progesterone and estrogen I am taking) and I took a First Response HPT this morning and it came back a BFN. I am currently 13dp5dt. But I will certainly post my results as soon as I get them.
In theory, NCIVF should work for me. I am 32, "healthy", we eliminated the male factor issue by using donor sperm. Donor has reported pregnancies. They were able to retrieve my egg with no problem, fertilize it and do a DAY 5 early blastocyst transfer...the egg was as good as it could be I was told. My lining looks good...if this doesn't work, then I'm not sure what will. |
Had my beta today and it's a BFN. Very disappointed since everything went so well. I think NCIVF is a great option for some women who are young, healthy, paying for fertility treatments OOP...and lucky. Honestly, if you fit into this category, I would give it one try and then move on to more aggressive treatments if it doesn't work. That is what I am doing now. If you have any questions about the procedure, please feel free to let me know, I'd be happy to answer any questions about NCIVF. I check this board often, I find the people very supportive and informative. Good luck! |
| I'm sorry to hear that your NCIVF did not work. Good luck with your next steps. For what it's worth, I found the hardest thing about IVF to be the egg retrieval and since you've already been through that, maybe "real" IVF won't seem so bad. The shots were not bad at all (although I did get lucky in that I had no side effects) Good luck with whatever you decide!!!!!! |
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support and input.

I'm sorry it didn't work for you either. I have had 2 failed IVF's, both stimulated, so now it's either donor egg, another stimulated, or perhaps natural cycle. We are going to try the natural one and see what happens. Male factor is one issue, so if we can at least get it to an embryo stage I think we are better off than not doing it. It really sucks to want it so bad and not know why it won't happen!
hugs to you... have a drink and a cry. |
A drink and a good cry...definitely did that last night! Thank you for your post...I'm so sorry to hear you are having problems as well. Male factor is definitely one of our issues as well so I know how you feel. Ours is so bad we have to use donor sperm. Never thought I would be dealing with that! May I ask how old you are? If you are over 35...Dominion Fertility does offer NCIVF through their Shared Hope program. I don't know much about it but it might be worth talking to Dr. John Gordon at Dominion. Heard some success stories from women who were told they needed donor eggs or weren't successful with stimulated IVF. I really do hope something works out for you...I know how heartbreaking this whole experience is. |

Hi OP, thanks for your thoughts. I'm 41 and yes I'm planning on doing NCIVF with Dominion. That is where I also had my two previous failures. I do have a beautiful 4yr old who was conceived naturally after 8 months of trying. I know I should be grateful, and believe me I am, but I still have the feelings to try again for a sibling.
I'll be going in this next cycle and see where I end up. |
Of course you are grateful for your 4 yr old and you have every right to "build" the kind of family you want, with the amount of child you want...don't let anyone make you feel differently. Hope floats and I'm so glad to see you still have the feelings to keep going. Sometimes that is the hardest part. I have a good feeling something will work out for you soon...and you are in good hands at Dominion. I really like it there. |
| I am going to Dominion now as well. Dr Gordon is great. I haven't tried the Natural IVF cycle but I did get a beautiful daughter from them two years ago. Now at 41 I am again in the 2WW after IVF at Dominion and keeping fingers crossed. |
I wish you lots of luck! Please keep us posted on the results of your beta! |
| I wish you luck as well... I like Dominion and have been disapointed it didn't work for me yet. Hoping 3rd times a charm! |

I'm a Dominion NCIVF patient and I just got my BFPs this weekend on my first cycle trying with them. I'm 33 but with diminished ovarian reserve and DH has MFI, so they put me in their New Hope program (donor eggs or embryos would be the next step for us). Beta is Friday but I'm cautiously optimistic as my lines are getting darker. So I just want to say that it CAN be done.
Also, Dominion says very clearly in all their materials that you should expect it to take up to 3 cycles to = the success rate you might have for your age group in a stimulated cycle. Dr. Gordon says on his blog that to date (don't remember when it was written), most women under 35 get PG with NCIVF on their first or second try. A few needed a third try, and no one needed a fourth. Considering the lower costs, less risks of hyperstimulation, and less stress on the body and schedule, it sounded like a good bet to give it at least 3 tries before moving on. |
