I'm sure there are others out there quietly hoping for a President Kaine as the best outcome of a sorry political year?
Of course it would mean a Clinton victory followed at some point with a swift resignation due to the investigations or indictments. The turmoil of that would be very difficult, but not as damaging to the country as some may think. The US is much stronger than that. And I can live with a President Kaine. As I suspect most Americans can. |
| I think a strong majority would love him. He's a pro-life Catholic with a sensible economic outlook. |
| I don't know that he's actually ever accomplished anything significant. |
Neither did Obama FYI. He was remarkably inexperienced when he became President, just a few years as a senator and a minimal record in Illinois.
|
+1 and much more "likable" than HRC |
| As a conservative, I would feel better about a President Kaine than a President Clinton, that's for sure. |
| I am really surprised nobody in the media is talking about this. It is a very real possibility. |
Hillary would have their heads on a platter if they dare do that. |
Actually, he's a pro-choice Catholic with hack-line tendencies who has been an irrelevant senator. Why she chose this zero is hard to say. |
| As I always said: Better Mickey Mouse than HRC. |
If you say so

Let's be honest - the senate has accomplished basically zero for 8 years. Anyone who came in in that timeframe will look like they've accomplished little, through no fault of their own.
My friend who lost a sibling at va tech speaks glowingly of then-gov kaine. He is a kind and decent human being. During the filibuster, he spoke so passionately about that horrible day. And there wouldn't be any scandal to worry about. |
| I'm fine with Pres. Kaine when looking at the alternatives.... |
|
Better than President Pence
Given the age of the candidates and the stress of the position, I would take a long hard look at their subs |
Exactly. And since there is no such thing as a pro-choice (true) Catholic, he is an opportunist who, sad for him, hitched his little red wagon to the falling star. |
