Since I have had my two children I sweat all the time. Even yesterday, in that cold , cold air. My body was cold, but my armpits were still sweating along. I had a meeting and so wore a nice (cotton) blouse. I had to "air out" before the meeting so the sweat stains would dry up. So GROSS!! Anyone know any tips or tricks?!!! |
I never had this issue until after giving birth, I swear. Now I am like you! Unfortunately, odor is often an issue too, despite wearing anti perspirant...I tried the "clinical strength" suave and its much better. It's more expensive (around 8 bucks) but worth it.
Good luck. |
I used this for awhile and it seemed to work. I used to have more a problem with it, but luckily it has not been a problem for me for awhile.

It sounds like you may have hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Botox injections into the armpits can treat this problem -- for those of you who watch Dr. 90210, one of the docs treated such a patient with Botox. Consider discussing this with your doctor. |
PP - I saw that Dr. 90210 episode!
OP - is it just sweaty arm pits or is the smell overwhelming too? Bacteria causes the odor so you may want to definitely get that checked out if that is a concern. |
My sweat was mostly stress related and more of an issue when I worked (showing through my blouses -- ick). Now that I'm home - it doesn't seem to be as much of a problem for me. This stuff REALLY worked for me:
http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=11764&catid=48155 It's called Certain Dri. Now I just regular old Secret or whatever smells the best. |
I had a similar problem after DS was born. My doctor prescribed a medication to apply once a week, which is the precursor to the Botox treatment. (As this works for me, I have not had to have the Botox injections.) I recommend talking to your doctor and hope you find something that works as well as my meds do! |
OP: no smell just wet, wet, wet.
Thanks for the advice. I ordered the Certain Dri, if that doesn't work I'll ask my Dr. about the medication, then the Botox. |
Certain Dry works for me as well. You can get it at CVS- my armpits don't sweat at all anymore! |
I also recommend Certain Dri. That or Extra Dry sold at Rite Aid. |
Prior to my pregnancy with DS, I never even had to wear deodorant, let alone antiperspirant. Now, I sweat like a pig, and it is really frustrating. It just isn't my arm pits though, it is an all over sweat. My SIL said the same thing happened when she had her last DS. |
