recommend a light fixture for my dining room

Anonymous
want something flush for the ceiling, it's not a big room and the table is not in the middle so i don't think a pendant or chandelier would work.

furniture is dark wood/teak/se asian tapestries on the wall.

Can't make a recommendation without a picture of your dining room. Check out lamps.com for ideas.

Yes, you do want a pendant or chandelier. Do not put a flushmount fixture in.

You could get a chandelier with a longer cord and swag it across the ceiling so that it's directly over the table.

Or you could get an arc light fixture (google it).

Why? How about semi flush?

I totally agree with this. Don't do a flushmount.

Check out Houzz and look for photos of dining rooms that have similar furniture. Either post that photo here or try to find a fixture that would complement your room.
