Does anyone have any experience with FCPS- Falls Church Academy? Particularly for Fire and EMS classes.
My DD is at Langley HS. She's interested in taking the courses but has no idea how to fit it into her schedule. How many periods does it take up? Do kids take online classes to make it work? We are a bit too early to talk to a counselor about this so thought I'd ask on here. Thanks in advance. |

| One Academy class tends to use up two periods to account for the transportation time. There are ways to works around it if the two schools are close to each other. |

My DS went to McLean and took that very course with Penny Kelly, who is great! The kids were from different high schools from all over the area, including Falls Church, Oakton and Woodson. My recollection is that DS took a bus over late morning, attended the class, and ate lunch on the bus on the way back. It wasn't a major disruption to his schedule. |
