Hawaii while pregnant

DH and I have some vacation to use before the baby gets here. (Because the baby is due in Dec, and maternity leave starts immediately after birth, so I have to use my vacation for the 2009 year before baby gets here or I lose it.)

Just booked a vacation to Kauai for a week in August. I'll be 25 weeks pregnant, looking forward to good food, snorkeling, swimming and incredible views. Anyone have any tips? This will be our first time in Kauai. I keep hearing that the Napali catamaran tours is not-to-be-missed, but a few sites specifically say no pregnant women are allowed. Pooh. Anyone know first hand?

I was in Kauai while 20 weeks pregnant and had a wonderful time.

Where are you staying? Are you flying direct? I did a 2 day layover in LA and that was a great decision for us as we were able to visit with friends and break up the long flight.

We're staying at the Sheraton in Poipu beach (on the south coast). I really wanted a swimmable beach because for every vacation we've had together that was at the beach (Puerto Rico & Thailand), we've managed to find the rockiest and most unwelcoming (though lovely) beaches around.

A layover in California sounds awesome. I wish we could Fortunately, we just have 1 layover in LA so we maximize our time in Hawaii.

I did all sorts of traveling up to about 32 weeks-even moved overseas at 26 weeks. Go for it! Enjoy!
