Help! Sent not great scores to Wash U!

Anonymous
Wash U doesn't require SAT Subject tests. It's my sons top choice, so he planned on not taking any, but at the last minute, took them on a fluke "just in case." He had the flu that weekend, but went in anyway. Didn't do great, but didn't really worry about it because Wash U doesn't need them. Fast forward to this week, when he sent off his Common App to Wash U ED and his two back-up EA schools. One of the EAs require Subject Matter tests, so he noted his scores in the Common App in the proper section, and only ordered that his official scores be sent to Back-Up school #1. In his haste, he now realizes that while not recieveing the official scores, Wash U will see his scores on the Common App. He's panicked that he now ruined his chances of getting into Wash U. If Wash U says they don't need them, will they factor them in now that they see them? His other stats: 34 ACT, Lit AP 5, Chem AP 4. Subject Matter Chem 720 and Lit 650. He's at a DC private with a +3.8 GPA...

His subject tests are fine and they will not have major impact on the application.

+1. If anything, the Lit score helps and the Chem will have no effect.

OP, my daughter is thinking of applying to Wash U RD. What did you son like the most about it?

Agree, and that's assuming Wash U even looks at the subject tests. Do they recommend them?

Humble brag.

The website says that they will "consider" them if it positively supports the students application.
