Title says it all. |
September |
August, September |
I live in Vancouver, Canada and was thinking September is such a nice time here. It's very similar to Seattle.
|
i went at the end of july and it was amazing. blackberry season. sunny. so awesome. |
August |
late spring or fall. June is nice because the roses are in bloom and it's Rose Festival season (not to be missed!) but this year it was 100 degrees the first weekend in June. That's not historically normal but with global warming it's getting hotter for longer in the NW. Avoid July and August. VERY hot and not everywhere has A/C since it hasn't historically been unbearably hot for weeks at a time. |
We went in September which was great. |
August and September. Less chance of rain and mist. |
we were there in late august and it was amazing! i visited once in May and it rained a LOT. |
I think August the past couple of years has been hit or miss. Historically that's a great time of year to visit the Pacific Northwest, because it's clear and warm. The last two summers in Seattle have been a mix of the usual perfect weather and days that are way too hot. If you're going in the summer, stay in a hotel with A/C just in case. Most houses do not have A/C. |
Summer. July probably. Former Portlander here. Glorious! |
Early August was beautiful. Needed a jacket for wine tasting in Willamette valley, Portland was comfortable with a light long sleeved shirt. |
Average high temp for August for Seattle: 76, Portland: 81. I'd hardly call that VERY hot. |
I went to Seattle in June for a wedding and we had a gorgeous sunny weekend. The weather was a little cool and refreshing. |
