Waxed upper lip---BURNING!

I just waxed my upper lip and now it's BURNING! Anything I can put to aleviate the burn? I used Nads strips and I should add that the area is not particularly red or anything...HELP! I usually bleach it, but decided to try the wax today...

oooh, it must be a reaction to something--I've used these before with no problem.
Maybe just a cold compress applied with some pressure?

mix neosporin w/ some aloe vera gel. or just neosporin.

Thanks!! I washed my face with some cold water while waiting to see if anyone would respond, and a couple of minutes after the burning went away. Sooo other than the immediate feeling, I think waxing is great! Hopefully it doesn't grow back thicker/darker?
