anyone get pregnant with a 3CB blast?

i am about to do a FET with a 3CB blast. That grade doesn't seem great to me, but it's CGH normal. Any thoughts?

My understanding is that those "grades" don't mean anything as they're just based on a visual inspection and tell you nothing about the potential health of the embryo, so I wouldn't worry about it! We did PGS testing on our frozen embryos after I had a miscarriage and my doctor said she never would've pegged the one that came back as normal to be the healthy one as it was the worst-looking of the bunch. I don't even know why they still give them those grades, tbh. Good luck with the transfer and I hope you get a BFP!

did your PGS normal one give you a BFP, even with the bad grade?

My RE or clinic did not even tell me the grades of our embryos. Probably for precisely this reason.

none of the grading matters once its pgs normal. would you rather have a beautiful blast that's not normal or a crappy looking one that is?
Anonymous
Your RE should be able to predict your likelihood of success - at least mine did
I would ask

I never got the grades, but am 23 wks with a very poor looking day 6 blast. We had two very poor day 6 blasts transferred (fresh cycle, all we had that made it) and all our genetic tests and scans are good. We had a previous failed cycle with a genetically normal perfect looking day 5 blast, so you never know.

Was your poor looking day 6 blast genetically normal? One cycle they were tested and one they weren't?

My 6 year old was a crappy, fractured and slow growing morula (by day 6 the embryo still hadn't reached blast stage but all the rest had died so we put it back).

So do the grades not matter when it's CGH normal
Anonymous
I think they may help your RE choose among your PGD normals
But they matter less
Anonymous
Yeah just to help select among the PGs normals. I had a failure with my higher graded normal than my not so well graded normal.

Pp here- I mean success with the one graded notnso well. Failure with the high grade normal.
Anonymous
pp: you transferred two normal CGH blasts and one worked and one didn't? Which grades were they

I transferred 2 PGs normal, in two different cycles. The first was a 4AA that thawed 95% and the second was 4BA that thawed 85%. Second one took, currently 34!weeks
