That's doozy of a rumor. Likely made up, or as they say in the intel world, intended to influence rather than inform.

Would Capital even take a midseason addition? After all the to-do about their tryout process it seems unlikely to me?

The only thing Capital will change mid-season is their coaches unless girls leave, then they will add. Otherwise it’s baked at tryouts.

Well that would be great but I don't think they will change the coaches mid-season or even at end of season

SW parent here so just curious- Are you personally wanting a coaching change?

The coaching change thread is odd. Nobody I have talked to has any concerns with the coaching. Quite the opposite, actually.

Sounds like some people are secretly wanting one to me….

Outside observer, coaching is not the issue on the blue team. It's the roster, some glaring holes on the roster.

Glaring? Lol.

If the shoe fits, lol

To the coward saying “Glaring Holes” on a 9th grade team… why not name where the holes are? You’re an idiot and a troll. Based on the results from last weekend then I guess Coppermine, Aces and Skywalkers have huge holes as well. Please enlighten us with your coach potato knowledge and why not go a step further and give us a rundown on each player on all of these teams and what team they really belong on.

I can't comment on the quality of play or players, but it does seem clear to me after reading some of these comments that Capital managed to avoid some truly terrible parents who may have destroyed the culture.

Some toxicity was most definitely avoided.

My daughter is on one of the 2nd tier teams and it’s the right team for her. The coaches are working with everyone to help them all improve. We watched a couple of the Tier 1 games last weekend at the Fairgrounds and I can tell you I did not see one girl on those Tier 1 teams that looked like they didn’t belong on that team. If there was one then the other team would have exploited it; that’s how good those teams are from what we saw. So I agree with the comment about the couch potato troll…you are a coward and are just throwing half baked comments out there to create an appearance of frustration on a team where I bet there is none; especially since this is one of the teams we watched and they were solid at all areas of the game.

You sure about that?

Toxicity does a body good! The irony of these parents calling out other parents!

When do the predictions of new players and players leaving start? My DD is trying club for the first time, and I need to know what her chances are.

You don't read too close. The coach is leaving, or evidently wants to.

There was a rumor he wanted to retire with the ‘25s but then some said it was his HS gig. I haven’t seen West Springfield post a HC opening yet and he’s still coaching the ‘28’s so it doesn’t look like it will be this year. Maybe next year on one or both, but I don’t see any mid-year changes happening.
