I am looking for party band/cover band recommendations for a fundraising event. I have searched the archives, and the last thread/post that was helpful was dated 2011. There were two band recommendations: 1) Nation (through Elan) 2) Charles Parker Band (through Sam Hill Entertainment) Has anyone seen either of these bands recently and, if so, what did you think? What other party/cover bands have you seen recently that you can recommend? I have looked at the Sam Hill, Bialek's, Elan agency sites, but I am looking for personal reviews or experiences. We have an entertainment budget, but I will take any and all recommendations DCUM readers may have and filter out those bands exceeding our budget. Our attendees will range in age from 30's to 80's, with the majority of attendees (at least those who stay late to dance) probably fall into the mid-30's to late-50's age range. Thanks in advance for anything you have to offer! |
| Bachelor boys. They played at my daughters wedding. |
| The Legwarmers- 80s cover band. So great! I've seen them at the State Theatre in Falls Church, as well as Fairfax City Fall Festivals in years past. I think they'd work well for your largest group of attendees (mid-30s through late 50s). |
| The Lloyd Dobler band is awesome - |
| 19th Street Band is great. |
OP here. I have previously inquired about booking The Legwarmers, and they are WAY over our budget.
Thanks for the other recs. Keep 'me coming! |
| That should be Keep 'em coming, LOL! |
| White Ford Bronco? Are they still around? |
| DC Transit Band is good. Horn section, lots of Motown. |
| WFB is still around |
| Pebble to Pearl |

Gonzo's Nose is great. They are an 80's and 90's cover band. I've seen them at weddings, parties, bars and wineries.
http://www.gonzosnose.com/ I also really like Reagan Years. They mainly do 80's covers. http://www.thereaganyears.com/home/ |
| Camino royale. They play at Villian and Saints in Bethesda. |
| We had Nation for my wedding and they were amazing! Our guests still talk about our band several years later! My sister had Source, also from Elan, and they were excellent as well. |

White Ford Bronco.
They're still around and Gretchen still has an amazing voice. |
