First time IUI with successful story, Anyone?

Hi there,
This is my 3rd IUI, 1st and 2 nd were cancelled due to my body wasn't responding to medication. This time everything is going well. I might trigger tonight and I am so nervous. It has been a year since we start the process. Anyone got pregnant the first time of IUI? or should I just expect it wont happens, so I wont be too disappointed. TIA |

| Assume that everything is fine biologically with you and your partner/sperm donor, each IUI has about a 20% chance of success. |

| OP here,Thank you everyone! I did the trigger last night and will have IUI tomorrow. I am nervous and excited. I try to hope for anything since my case is kinda special according to my doctor. :X |

| Oh I forgot to ask. After we did the trigger shot 9pm yesterday, I went straight to bed without having intercourse. Is that ok? I heard alot of people do it right after the trigger. I will have my IUI procedure tomorrow at 10am. I just want to make sure I wont waste the trigger shot and this cycle. |

Up to you and may depend on why you are doing IUI. We did IUI to address issues with DH's sperm (idea was to wash them and get the best looking ones). So I disregarded the advice from the nurse to have intercourse after the IUI to maximize my chances, thinking why the hell did I just pay $500 to avoid natural conception then. Got pregnant on that try, from the IUI alone. Now 14 weeks. |

| OP here: did Insemination this morning. Got home and passed out. I feel discomfort about they said it's normal. Now counting down for next 14 days. Finger crossed |

| OP, I did my first (also after 2 canceled cycles!) on the 11th, so I am also nervously waiting. Fingers crossed for both of us! |
