3 hr flight

Anonymous
Has any parent done a 3 hr. flight (by yourself) with a 3 yr old and a 6 mos old?
Is this reasonable?
Would you do anything differently?
Thanks so much for any tips.

Haven't done it, but I think it's doable. The hardest parts will be:

changing the baby's diaper on the plane, because you likely can't take the 3 year old into the bathroom with you

dealing with the 3 year old's toilet needs on the plane, but in that case, toting the baby in would be ok (assuming 3 year old is potty trained, because if not, changing their diaper will be REALLY tough)

eating or drinking anything yourself, or using the bathroom yourself on the plane.

Also depends how many seats you have, if baby is a lap baby, getting the 3 year old drinks and snacks will be tough, because where do you put the baby while you're digging around in a bag?

Now that I've been totally negative, people have done this, and I think it would be doable, and maybe you can hope to get a sympathetic seat-mate who can assist you.
