| How long until I can get pregnant? I just got off the pill. My period isn't for a couple of weeks. I feel funny, but every twinge had me peeing on a stick before. |
| There can be a hormone spike. I'd start trying right away. I stopped pill while husband and I discussed. By the time he was on board, it was too late. We were older and time mattered at that point. Good luck. |

I was told to wait a cycle or two by my dr. It took over a year to get pregnant. There was a study that said it may take some women a while to get pregnant after being on the pill for a long time as it erodes the uterine lining.
I also know a ton of people who got pregnant the first month off it. |
| DH is convinced I'm already pregnant somehow, because the first time was so easy. I think it will take longer... |

I was told to wait a cycle and then never ovulated on my own. At
6 months I got clomid to "jump start" my cycles and that's the month I conceived. Second pregnancy I never went back on the pill (used condoms) and had cycles like clockwork. Nonetheless tried for a year, then had two months clomid with no success. Took a month of meds and did acupuncture and had an HSG and got pregnant that month while waiting for IVF appointment. |
| You *could* get pregnant immediately. I'm unclear if you are wondering if you are already pregnant/if you're already trying. If you're not trying yet - it can be helpful to wait a cycle or two just so you know when to expect your periods. I waited 3 mos after going off BC just to see what my cycle lengths were so I could better time trying and would know when to expect my period. But there's no medical reason to wait, if you want to go for it. |
| You COULD become pregnant right away, not that you will, obviously.. Both of my kids were conceived the first month I was off the pill. |
| I'm exhausted, just threw up a little, and have had nausea every morning all week. I feel bloated to boot - surely, this is not what I think it is, right? It hasn't even been a MONTH yet... |
| I got pregnant right after going off the pill. |
